AP-IB Exams

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Students at Rancho Buena Vista HS are taking the AP/IB exams in the month of May. Patrons organize proctors for these tests. We are asking parents, guardians, grandparents, friends, neighbors and alumni to help us with this huge undertaking. This year we have more than 700 students taking more than 1000 tests. The school cannot do this alone so we are asking for anyone who wants to volunteer. Basically what a proctor does is to read the test instructions to the students (Lead Proctor), to organize the students as they come into the room and make sure they have what they need. (pen, pencil, tissue, etc.).

If you have never proctored before, there will be a training session on April Tuesday, 25th in the Parent Center (room 219) at 6:30pm with Ms. Newmann, the Honors Coordinator. College Board has changed some of the rules for AP tests so if you have proctored before, we highly recommend to also attend the training this year.

This is what you need to do to sign up:
  1. Check the test schedule below.
  2. Choose the tests, dates and times you would like to proctor. Keep in mind that you cannot proctor tests your son/daughter is taking.
  3. Send us an email at rbvpatrons@gmail.com with your name, email address, telephone number, name of tests you would like to proctor with their dates and times, and if you want to be a lead proctor or a regular proctor.
  4. Sometimes a proctor does not show up, so please let us now if you have a flexible schedule for emergencies.
Thank you so much and please volunteer.
